Hair Loss or Thining

Hair loss is a common condition observed in both men and women. Pattern hair loss also known as androgenetic alopecia is the most common form of hair loss and it can have devastating consequences on one’s lower self-esteem, depression and lower quality of life.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP treatment for hair loss involves the use of the body’s own natural growth and healing factors to stimulate hair regrowth. A blood sample is taken from the patient and then placed in a centrifuge where the platelets are separated from other elements of the blood. The PRP is then injected into the treatment area, stimulating the work that the body is already doing. PRP appears to nurture hair follicles with critical growth factors that take them from a dormant state (in which hair is no longer growing) to an active state (in which a normal hair growth cycle occurs). PRP therapy requires three to six sessions, four to 6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are required every four to six months.

Some in the medical community think that PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. Sometimes this approach is combined with other hair loss procedures or medication.

Stem Cells Treatment

Stem cell-based therapies have recently received lots of attention as potential treatment that focus on reactivating hair follicle. Stem cell products typically contain a mixture of plant extracts, vitamins, amino acids, and minerals. This mixture can help to replenish cells in hair or skin. Stem cell products can boost the body’s natural stem cell numbers. The plant stem cells themselves don’t form new cells in your body but increase the number of stem cells in the area they’re applied to. This means that applying them directly to your skin can help regenerate the skin cells, leading to new cells forming.  Stem cells combined with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, help to promote healthy cell growth. When applied to your scalp, stem cell products help to replenish the hair follicles found in your skin. Active plant cell technology works to increase the lifespan of hair follicles so that the hair can stay longer in the anagen phase of the hair. Keeping the hairs in this growth phase will maximize the length and thickness of new hairs, as well as stop existing strands from shedding. The plant stem cells have the ability to reduce the hair follicle regression, induce new hair follicle formation, revitalize and protect the dermal hair papilla and promote hair regeneration. We recommend a 6-month program for significantly visible results. Results may vary

Hair Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive treatment used to restore volume and luster to thinning hair. It involves inserting superficial micro-injections of a wide range of minerals, vitamins, amino acids, nucleic acids and co-enzymes into the epidermal layer of the skin. This stimulates the mesoderm layer and encourages hair growth and promotes new hair production. While oral medications have to pass through the digestive system before being absorbed into the bloodstream, mesotherapy is delivered directly to the follicles. This method multiples the effects of the formula and can provide more effective results than oral or topical solutions alone. The technology at the root of the treatment is based on the understanding that most hair loss problems are a result of lack of proper nutrients, reduced blood circulation to the scalp, and hormone imbalances (DHT, in particular) around the hair follicle. The treatment restores hormone balance at a gradual pace, which enables the steady growth of new, healthy hair strands, stimulating hair growth in problem areas, improving blood circulation to the scalp, leading to more growth, reducing inflammation, which helps reverse hair and scalp issues, neutralizing and minimizing excess DHT, the hair loss hormone. It stimulates collagen development for new scalp matrix and growth and is increasing hair follicle size for stronger strands and less breakage. The duration of the treatment depends on the individual, but on average, you will need the therapy for about four to six months, once every week or once every two weeks. Once your body starts responding to the treatment, the duration and frequency of the treatment will be reduced. Maintenance treatments are required, and significant results are mostly seen in 3-6 months depending on your lifestyle and the body’s absorption of nutrients.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT)

LED therapy showed a real efficacy in the field of hair loss, especially therapies involving the use of red and infrared wavelengths. Studies reported that 655 nm red light significantly improved hair counts both in men and women with androgenetic alopecia. A more recent study reported the effect of yellow LED device both on patients with androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata. The efficacy of LED therapy by visible light has also been recognized as a valid adjuvant therapy in the recalcitrant form of alopecia areata. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is used to stimulate and/or restore hair growth in areas of hair loss. PDT permits a means to treat conditions relating to hair loss such as androgenic alopecia, alopecia areata and drug-induced alopecia.
