SKIN PEELS

Chemical peels and laser treatments are skin resurfacing procedures that remove old skin to promote new skin growth. Both treatments are commonly used to minimize acne scars and hyperpigmentation, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and correct sun damage issues such as age spots.

Chemical Peels A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure, in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. It started to be used as a way of resurfacing and restoring a healthier looking skin in the 19th century, as a solution to treat skin discoloration, scars, wrinkles, age spots, sun damaged skin, acne and acne scars.  Depending on the skin condition we treat, we chose the depth, the concentration, and the number of coats applied.

Light peel – superficial removes the epidermis and is used to treat fine lines, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness; this type of peel can be done every two to five weeks.

Medium peel removes not only the epidermis but the upper part of dermis for deeper wrinkles, acne scars and pigmentation.

Deep peel is done only in certain condition, with strict pre- and post-care rules, for deep wrinkles and scars and for precancerous growth.  After few days, the injured layer will start exfoliating, peeling off to reveal a smoother, regenerated skin, with an even color, less wrinkled. Possible risk of doing peel by an unexperienced professional are skin photosensitivity, prolonged redness, pigmentary changes, skin atrophy, infection, scarring, scabbing. There is minimal discomfort while doing the procedure, so usually No anesthesia is needed, the patient feels only a slight stinging when the acid coat is applied, followed by neutralizing and a rich moisturizing cream and sunscreen applied. Home care routine for the next days is prescribed to help safely exfoliate the skin, protect and maintain the results achieved.

Laser Peels – Laser resurfacing treatments use beams of light to penetrate the skin, removing one layer at a time. The laser method allows for a more precise removal process. There are two types of lasers: ablative and non-ablative. Ablative lasers are more intense but provide the best results by vaporizing the skin. Non-ablative lasers are less intrusive to the skin and heat the skin without damaging the tissue. Because non-ablative lasers are not as powerful as ablative lasers, multiple sessions may be required for best result.

NON-SURGICAL SKIN LIFTING

Non-surgical skin tightening and lifting has become very popular over the past few years. This is because of the proven results in correcting skin laxity and skin quality issues with little to no down-time. Some of the options available are High Intensity Focus Ultrasound, Fractional Radio Frequency, By-Polar Radio Frequency and Fractional Co2 Laser. Before treatment, you’ll have an initial consultation with the specialist to discuss your goals in terms of skin tightening and the areas you’d like to have it treated. If you are a good candidate for the procedure, a treatment plan is drawn up, based on your goals, available technology, costs, and any associated risks.

HIFU – High Intensity Focus Ultrasound is a Non-surgical face, neck and body treatment that uses ultrasound to LIFT and Tone loose skin, without any downtime.
It is the perfect tightening treatment for jawline, under the chin, brows, around the eyes, neck and on the body for arms, armpits, abdomen, flanks, inner thighs and above knees. The micro-focused ultrasound is used to cause micro-coagulation points in the skin at different depths, in the subcutaneous fat and to the junction between skin and muscles (SMAS), depth achieved in the past only in facelift surgeries. In the next 90days the body will enter in “repair mode” and will start producing a new, stronger collagen. Session takes between 30-60 minutes with mild discomfort. There is no-downtime and patients are able to return to their normal activities right away and there are no special restrictions, with regards to sun exposure (like lasers). Immediately after procedure the skin should feel tighter, smoother and more youthful. In the weeks coming, the tightening effect will build up and become more prominent. Possible, transitory side-effects may occur: slightly aching touch, swelling, redness, tingling, tenderness, bruising. The treatment is not a replacement for surgery but is a viable option for those not ready for a facelift, or for those looking to prolong the effects of cosmetic surgery.

Radio Frequency devices are used to penetrate deep into the tissue underneath the skin, heating the area, and stimulating collagen production. Over time, this encourages the skin to tighten and smooth out in the treated area. One of the most technologically advanced RF treatment therapy available today, the Intensif treatment from ENDYMED provides the most effective dermal skin remodeling, deep within the skin to revive and rejuvenate the natural production of new Collagen and elastin. Treatment with Intensif triggers the skin’s natural healing process, rejuvenating, tightening and refreshing the skin while reducing the appearance of wrinkles, acne and traumatic scars in all skin types.

EndyMed’s proprietary 3DEEP™ is a multi-source, phase-controlled radio frequency energy safe and effective. The 3 Deep is reaching 3 different layers of tissue: The top layer of the skin, the dermal layer which is where collagen and elastin cells are found and then the third layer, the adipose layer where fat cells are found. Depending on the desired outcome of the client, the settings will be set accordingly

MESOTHERAPY

Mesotherapy is a cosmetic non-surgical procedure, relatively painless if an anesthetic cream is applied prior the procedure.

French Dr Michel Pistor started using mesotherapy since 1952 but only in 1986 Mesotherapy was recognized as a part of conventional medicine.

The mesotherapy treatment involves infusion of medicines, enzymes, hormones, vitamins minerals, peptides, stem cells in the epidermis, intradermal or in the subcutaneous tissue, at a depth of 1-4 mm, by using tiny needles, Dermapen, dermarollers or electroporation.

In Aesthetic medicine we use Mesotherapy for Face and Neck rejuvenation, Hyperpigmentation, Skin tightening, Wrinkles, Cellulite, Stretchmarks, Fat reduction for the face, arms, thighs, stomach, hips and legs, Scars, Alopecia (Hair loss), Acne scars.

Depending on the intensity of the treatment, the ingredients used and the desired results, the number of sessions may vary.

Treatments are usually customized and usually are done at 1-3 weeks apart, in a sequence of minimum 4-6 sessions.

PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY

In much the same way that photosynthesis works with plants, PDT LED Light Therapy uses light energy to stimulate the body’s regenerative metabolism at the cellular level. From the nourishment of cells, to the acceleration of collagen and elastin, LED Light Therapy does the body good in more ways than one. It treats a wide range of skin conditions, including: Facial rejuvenation, Wrinkles, Cellulite, Scars, Stretch marks, Flaccid skin.

The treatment changes the composition, quality and appearance of the skin due to extensive non-ablative cellular stimulation of multiple cell lines that contribute to the overall health and vitality of the skin unlike other aesthetic skin rejuvenation treatments, LED Light Therapy comes with zero negative consequences: No pain, No side effects, No thermal damage, No discomfort, No discoloration, No downtime, No surgery, No scarring.

For optimal effectiveness, PDT LED Light Therapy is typically recommended two-three times a week for a 4- to 6-week period. Then to maintain desired results, treatments are generally recommended once a month thereafter. Fortunately, the cost of each treatment is dramatically lower than that of other aesthetic skincare options. Despite its frequency, PDT LED Light Therapy is a painless, affordable one.
